Full description

Our excursion begins with the pickup of the passengers at their accommodations at 08:30 am. Our first stop will be the archaeological center of Tipon. A guided tour will help us understand how the hydraulic system works, how the fountains and there wonderful channels works, and more about the system of distribution of the water to every dam. Our trip will then bring us to Pikillacta, a site which offers us a combination of landscape, history and above all the urban organization. It shows very well how the surrounding area used to be. Our final destination will be Andahuaylillas, also known as “The Sistine Chapel of America”, where you can find a fabulous collection of Cuzqueña Paintings as well as mural paintings dated to the 16th and 17th century. Within this temple you will appreciate the famous door with inscriptions in five languages, which was completely covered in gold. At the end on the way back, if you feel like it (optional) we will pass by some nice places where we will try some typical dishes from these area.
