We will spend the day together enjoying 2 emblematic places in the Paris region. The Versailles palace was the residence of the French king Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI. It is located on 11 acres in the city of Versailles southwest of Paris, and is surrounded by 815 hectares of parks. This castle-monument is famous for its beauty, as well as for the significant events that have taken place there. 5 Star Versailles Tour with Gustavo

We had a lovely full day tour of Versailles yesterday. Gustavo is a great guide. He's friendly, patient and a pleasure to be with. He knows so much, and brought the places we saw to life with stories and explanations that tied together art, political and cultural histories. We asked a lot of questions and were impressed with his depth of knowledge not just about Versailles but about various semi-related topics. We really enjoyed the way he was able to tie seemingly unrelated topics together.

We were picked up right outside our rented apartment in a comfortable Mercedes van. Although only a few minutes late due to traffic and construction , Gustavo was extremely apologetic, and certainly gave us a the total tour and experience . He started his tour right away with a few explanations of some buildings in Paris to give us a feel for what we were about to see and hear in Versailles. His knowledge is vast and without bias , he was very informative and interesting. Although January the palace had several large groups of tourist , we were navigated through the entrance without hesitation, and he proceeeded to take us in and around the rooms explains as we went , what we were seeing. We were able to go in some places that the larger groups could not, we lingered as long as we wanted, out to the gardens. The were indeed spectacular but without Gustavo's explanation as to form and function would not have been so rewarding. Unto Marie Antoinette village, again , patient and knowledgeable with a wonderful sense of humor. He was aware of physical limitations and respected , my son and him engaged in very interesting historical banter. He than drove us back to Paris in comfort and safety. It was the best way to spend our last full day in Paris. Highly recommend , well worth the price.
