There are 7 Native Embera (or Waunaan), each one with its own project, according its needs, open to Tourism, but preserving their ancestral living, and a genuine cultural cosmovision. Located in the Panama Canal Watershed, near the Gatun lake, the Madden lake or on the Chagres river, these Communities built about sixty years ago are fairely easy to access. Hotel pick up in the morning, one hour trip to the dock first, and then to the village by a curious 30-minutes canoe ride, sometimes more depending on the season. Music....Welcome Act.....and according to the oral tradition, the Mayor tells the village's story and the main characteristics of the Embera or Waunaan people.
