This 12km hike is one of the most famous routes in the Sierra de Guadarrama. It was opened in 1926 by Austrian mountaineer Eduard Schmidt to connect Navacerrada and Cercedilla. The hike starts from the Port of Navacerrada among pines on an easy path. After 1h30 of hike, we will reach Puerto de la Fuenfría from which you can access the Mirador de la Reina. You will be able to admire spectacular views of mountains and plains. This easy and circular route takes approximately 4h30 with a drop of 200 meters. If this is your first time in the Sierra it is a good way to get to know it and fall madly in love with it.
